• Our Coalition

  • Our coalition.

The Arizona Business and Education Coalition (ABEC) was founded in 2002 after voters passed Proposition 301, a ballot initiative which put more money into Arizona’s public K-12 classrooms.  Many of those same business and education leaders who came together to support Proposition 301, founded ABEC.

Today, supporters of ABEC are a statewide representation of school districts, higher education institutions, business and education associations, small and large corporations, philanthropic and community organizations, state government agencies, and individual community leaders.

    Our vision.

The Arizona Business & Education Coalition is a trusted and respected collaborative organization of education and business, influencing the creation of a public education system that is recognized as world class, producing responsible citizens who contribute in a globally competitive workforce.

    Our mission.

The mission of the Arizona Business and Education Coalition is to sustain collaboration between business and education leaders, focused on increasing measurable outcomes for every student, by serving as a non-partisan forum to educate others and build political will toward the improvement and investment in K-12, with linkages to pre-kindergarten and higher education, as an element of a superior public education system and economic future for Arizona.
