    Steering into the Future
    2017 ABEC Annual Conference

    The pace of change in our world is simply staggering. Are we ready for the future?  How do we adapt the Arizona public education system to meet this challenge?  Are we on the right path?  What should we be preparing for in the next generation?  Are we ready for the future, which is really just around the corner and moving ever faster and faster towards us with an increasing pace of change?
    Business, education and community leaders will challenge our concepts and awareness of the public education system of the future at this year’s ABEC Annual Conference.

    Leaders representing various education stakeholder groups will share their vision for the state’s education system and what we need to do to get there, including:
    • Don Budinger, Chairman & Founding Director, Rodel Foundation of Arizona
    • Marilee Dal Pra, Vice President of Programs, Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust
    • Diane Douglas, AZ State Superintendent of Public Instruction (invited)
    • Neil G. Giuliano, President and CEO, Greater Phoenix Leadership
    • Paul Kulpinksi, Partnership Director, LAUNCH Flagstaff
    • Steven Zylstra, President & CEO, AZ Tech Council

    Cancellation Policy
    Any registrant unable to attend should contact the ABEC offices (Karen by email Karen@azbec.org or by phone 602-264-8396) as soon as possible.  If the cancelation of a paid registration occurs before October 21, the registration fee minus the processing fee of $10 will be refunded within five (5) business days.  If the cancelation of a paid registration occurs after October 20, the registration fee minus a $35.00 cancelation fee will be refunded within ten (10) business days. Registrations not canceled per these guidelines must be paid in full even if the registrant does not attend the conference. Conference materials, meals and breaks preparations are based on the number of registrants.
